The Online Feel-Good Value

If you’re a potterer-around-the-house, Instructables is a great site to learn how to use old stuff to build new, usable ones, including (hold your breath) how to use pantyhose in place of a broken fan belt. If that interests you, then you’re part of a growing breed of DIY’ers who exchange, buy and sell your own products on the web. It’s feel-good, it’s environmentally good and it feeds on the sense of community that can be accessed through the internet. At the end of the day, it’s one-up on Buy, Amazon and eBay just for those factors.
